| "Military success is dependent on effective leadership. No matter how many soldiers are employed on the battlefield, victory cannot be won if there are no commanding officers who are knowledgeable and capable enough to lead them in warfare and in peacetime. Where do the officers come from ? From a cadet school which is made up by all of you. I thus urge you to devote yourselves to your studies to the best of your ability and prepare yourselves for the most important duty and mission in life...If viewed as a service to the Crown, you are showing loyalty to the King... That which is superior to all other things is the duty to protect and ensure independence of our homeland......" | |||

|||
| Since the inception of the academy by King Chulachomklao on 5 August 1887, Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy has been the sole institution to provide military leaders for the army (also for other forces depending on the situations and a certain period of time). The academy has continuously evolved in line with political, economic, social conditions, and the preparation of the forces for the national defense as well. To date, the academy has been developed continually and has increased its significant involvement with the world community. As honorable and traditional institution, the academy has proudly provided academics and training to youngsters who are systematically selected on the basis of their physical attributes and talent. They have been molded through this crucible to become full-fledged army officers. They are expected to be valuable human resources to their society and nation according to preferable characteristics required by the Army Educational Policies. | |||
